He owns the Grupo Carso SAB conglomerate and he is the chairman and CEO of Telmex and América Móvil, which are the most successful telecommunications companies in Latin America. He also has business interests and extensive holdings all over the world.
The second place goes to Bill Gates, the founder and chairnan of the software company Microsoft. Besides being one of the richest men in the world, with an approximate fortune of 56 billion dollars, he is also known as a philanthropist, as he donated half of his fortune to his foundation.
Ranked three in the list is Warren Buffett, whose wealth is estimated at 50 billion dollars. He is considered one of the smartest investors of all time and his company, Berkshire Hathaway, is the eighth largest public company in the world.
